TS2R: Nokia Lumia, Samsung Galaxy Rules, Nexus 5, G S4 Update & G Glass

 ts2r2wimonewsToday there was news that was too short to report about Nokia Lumia, Samsung,  Huawei, Sprint, Verizon's GS4, Netflix and Google Glass.

Nokia sold 1.4 million Lumia smartphones in North America in the third quarter of this year, 3x what it sold last year in the same quarter. It shipped a total of 8.8 million smartphones in Q3.

Samsung shipped a whopping 81.2 million smartphones in the third quarter of 2013. Huawei(4.8%) is now the number 3 smartphone maker in the world after Samsung (31.4%) and Apple (13.1%) according to IDC and Strategy Analytics.  The popularity of the Huawei was due to P6 and G610. In fourth place was Lenovo(4.8%) followed by LG(4.6%).

Sprint announced it now has 4 LTE in 45 new markets in the United States with a total of 230 markets.  @Evleaks showed a Sprint Nexus 5.

The Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 is being updated to Android 4.3. wit support for the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch.

googleglassLG reportedly is working with Apple to provide flexible OLED displays for the iWatch, according to the Korean Herald. However, RiTDisplay will be the main supplier of the screens.

Netflix is reportedly exploring the possibility of producing a feature films and releasing them on Netflix the same day they open in theaters.

Google Glass owners of the "Glass Explorer" edition can trade it in for the updated design that with has a otpional earbud instead of induction sound.
