The Verizon Ellipsis went on sale today.
The Verizon Ellipsis 7 tablet features a 7-inch IPS display, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, and sells for $249.99 (with $100 off if you sign a two-year contract).
It also features a microSD card slot, 3.2MP camera, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, Wi-Fi. LTE data access and Bluetooth 3.0.
Verizon Messages is included with the Ellipsis 7, allowing users to send and receive text messages from their tablet. And with the most recent app update, users can send customized photos with collages for a more personal messaging experience.
With Redbox Instant by Verizon you can browse a library of hits and instantly watch movies on the Ellipsis 7's HD display.
The Ellipsis 7 is the first product from Verizon Wireless in the Ellipsis family. It is available online and in Verizon Wireless stores.
It is not clear what company made the tablet for Verizon Wireless. Meanwhile Nexus 7 buyers are peaved that they can't the Nexus 7 to work on the Verizon Network. Verizon does not support "outside" devices.
