Pre-CES Round-Up: Audio-Technica, nabi, Polaroid, Jabbawockeez & More

CES LogoCES, the Consumer Electronics Show is approaching, next week.  We will be attending looking for the latest and greatest electronics, mobile devices and connected car news.We've already received a flood of announcements:

  • Audio-Technica will showcase new headphones:
    • Five new SoniceFuel over-ear headphones.
    • Premium-quality ATH-AG1 and ATH-ADG1  gaming headphones.
    • The new ATH-ANC70 QuietPoint active noise-cancelling headphones with superior noise-cancellation performance, sound quality, comfort and portable device control.
    • SonicSport fitness headphones lineup with the ATH-CKP200iS ear hook-style headphones with mic, volume and control functionality.
  • New Audio-Technica Microphones:
    • New ATR7000 wireless microphone systems are ideal for consumer and prosumer users. Four handheld, lavalier, headworn and guitar models will make their CES 2014 debut.
    • Audio-Technica will introduce its ATR3350iS lavalier mic with smartphone compatibility.
  • Polaroid will debut a 50" smart TV and 50" Ultra High Definition TV along with quad-core processor and Android KitKat tablets.
  • 2014 International CES  attendees can participate in the first promotional iBeacon-based scavenger hunt and be rewarded with a special prize.The devices being used for the hunt are Radius Networks iBeacons using Bluetooth low-energy technology from Texas Instruments (TI). Prizes include a tablet, fitness armband and CES press badge.
  • Smartlet is a watch band for your iPhone that turns it into a very big wrist iPhone watch.
  • Nick Cannon (America's Got Talent Host) will host Variety's Breakthrough of the Year Awards where Olivia Munn, Janelle Monae, Amy Schumer and "Veronica Mars" will be honored.
  • Jabbawockeez, will perform at the Hisense booth.
  • NBA champ, Robert Horry will make an appearance at the ZTE Corp. booth.
  •  USTechVets.org will launch an online community to facilitate the hiring and career development of military veterans throughout the technology community.
  • Tannoy will blast off of the new $75,000, high efficiency, 135 dB-capable Kingdom Royal Carbon Black, the most powerful speaker ever created in the company’s 87 year history.
  • A smartpill dispenser will be coming medissimo.
  • Capti Narrator is technology for listening for what you want to read from Charmtech Labs LLC.
  • Kudos Tech will show a lamp with wireless charging mat platform built-in.
  •  iDevices Kitchen Thermometer and Kitchen Thermometermini monitor your food from up to 150 feet away using the  iDevices Connected App for iPad (Generation 3 and up), iPhone (4S and up) and iPod touch (5 and up).  Let the app know what you’re cooking and receive an alert when your food is ready.

  • Fuhu creator of the Android tablet made just for kids nabi will reveal the next generation of the nabi ecosystem led by new, feature-laden tablet products, a cutting-edge operating system, as well as peripheral extensions.
