Apple released iOS 7.1, packed with bug fixes and the connected car interface, Apple CarPlay. Be careful when you download it because iOS 7.1 requires 250-325 MB of disk space.
CarPlay lets iPhone users make calls, navigate, listen to music or get messages with a word or a touch. iPhone functions are controlled from the cars’ controls and Siri can be activated with a steering wheel button.
There is a new way to control Siri with your hand by holding down the Home button while you voice your question and let go of it when you are finished. Calendar events now have a monthly view feature.

You will receive a notification that the update is available on your iPhone 4/4S/5/5c/5S or you can download the update through iTunes.
How to update over iTunes.
- Connect your iPhone to a computer with a USB cable running iTunes.
- Select device in iTunes.
- Click "Check for Update" in the Summary pane to check for available updates.
- If an update is available, iTunes prompts you to download and install the update. Do not disconnect your iPhone until the update has finished.
