iPhone 5/6 Air News, New Return Policy, Designs, Sizes & Warnings

There are have been some changes made in Apple's iOS 7.1 after a class action lawsuit. There is news about the future of iOS 8, iPhone 6 sizing and a shorter return policy.

After a settlement in which children were able to make in-app purchases, iOS 7.1 now has an alert that after small transactions that tells user that  states, "In-App Purchase Complete.  You can now make additional purchases in any app for the next 15 minutes without entering your password.  To change this, tap setting and go to Restrictions."

There is choice to tap "Settings" or "OK."

This was in response to  an FTC settlement in which Apple agreed to refund $32.5 million of in-app purchase that were not authorized by parents.

iOS 7.1 adoption was at 12% within 45 hours of its debut.

Show Me the Receipt in Two Weeks

Previously carriers often allowed thirty days for returns then shortened the time frame to 14 days. Apple is following carriers' policies and only accepting returns up to 14 days.  The terms of the sales polices on the Apple website states,

"For iPhone returns, you may return your undamaged iPhone with its included accessories within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. Here’s the important part: returning your iPhone may not automatically cancel or reset your wireless account; you are responsible for your wireless service agreement and for any applicable fees associated with your wireless account. Please contact your provider for more information."

Apple pickers (iPhone thieves) should note:

"Apple provides security features to enable you to protect your product in case of loss or theft.  If these features have been activated and cannot be disabled by the person in possession of the phone, Apple may refuse the return or exchange."

iOS 8 Straighten Maps and Apps iTunes Radio

Today, there were several reports of what will coming in iOS 8 for iPhone 6 aka AirPlay.

• iOS 8 may have a separate iTunes Radio app reported 9t05 Mac. iTunes Radio is now part of iTunes, Apple was unable to iTunes radio in iOS 7 due to record label agreements.
• 9t05 Mac also reported that Apple will revamp its map app to make it a greater competitor to Google with new technology from BroadMap, Embark and HopStop.  Transit directions and public transportation stops will be embedded.

iPhone 6 Airs More Colorful Laundry and Bigger Size

There was a report from Macotakara that the iPhone 6 may have a design similar to colors of the iPhone 5C with a an anodized aluminum like the iPod nano. The report also suggest that there will be  4.7" and 5.7" iPhone 6 models  that are 7m thin.
