There are even more rumors about the next iPhone, the iPhone 6 or iPhone Air.
On Tuesday, analyst Andy Hargeaves reported that Apple will outperform because he believes the iPhone 6 with a 4.7" will have a price hike and cost $299 with a contract. He also wrote that optional products such as an iWatch could help make Apple even more profitable.
A concept video, (which means totally made up film) suggests that the iPhone 6 aka iPhone Air will have a larger screen, be thinner, have a thinner bezel and larger screen.
iOS 8 is expected to have an healthbook app for keeping tack of exercise.
The processor of the iPhone 6 will most likely be a more efficient A8 processor.
Jeffries analyst Peter Misek reported that the iPhone 6 will be a significant product cycle as it will fill Apple's "~5-inch" product gap. He contends that the pent-up demand for a larger iPhone and possibly less intense competition from Samsung bodes well for the iPhone 6 launch.
In other words the Samsung Galaxy S5 is not a big reason for GS 4 upgrade, while a larger screened iPhone is upgrade worthy.
An interesting thing to note, the upgrade of the iPhone 6 will be partly dependent on how and if the carriers continue to subsidize smartphones. Yes $299 is not big jump of iPhone owner, however $549-929 without a contract can be expensive for many.
Other popular iPhone 6 rumors are:
- The iPhone 6 will have the same type screen as solar cells, make of strong almost unbreakable shaphires.
- A holographic screen could enlarge the screen by projecting it larger.
- 10MP camera.
- Water and dust persistent. Since the iPhone 6's greatest competitor the Samsung Galaxy S5 has iP67 water and dust resistant and many iPhones have destroyed by water damage water proofing would be another feature for people to upgrade.
- The iPhone 6 could account for 68% of Apple's profits.
- Another rumor, we haven't seen for a while is the iPhone 6 could have rounded wallet shape and flexible screen....
