Share EverythingVerizon Wireless is running a new commercial for the Share Everything plans.  It makes it seem like it's all wonderful deal.  However, what the family is actually sharing is higher costs for data.  It is the data that is being shared not the voice minutes or the texts with smartphone plans because for each smartphon voice and text are unlimited. We calculated the recommended plans from Verizon for such a family and gave our own recommendations.

In this day and age when even preteens have to have a smartphone the most highly used feature is  data.  Yes, Verizon Wireless has the greatest coverage and some of the best speeds for 4G LTE, but depending on usage could be the most expensive.

sprint 4G LTESprint announced that it will finally launch its 4G LTE network on July 15.

The 4G LTE network live metros will be Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City and San Antonio.  Sprint has delayed the release of the 4G LTE-enabled Samsung Galaxy S III, again, however buyers may receive their orders in time in these markets. Other 4G LTE smartphones are the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and HTC EVO 4G LTE.

VZW Best Fastest Incredible 4G LTE, AT&T Top NY, SF & DC & T-Mo Burbs/Rural: Results Refuted

PC Mag TestPCMag.com has posted the results of its annual Fastest Mobile Networks.  The winner to be found the fastest data network nationwide is Verizon Wireless 4G LTE. AT&T and T-Mobile came in top in some areas. After publishing the results AT&T refuted the results.

Comment from WiMo News: Although Verizon Wireless is the fastest, it may become the most expensive for individual users when shared data plans start on June 28 which may or may be in time for the Droid Incredible 4G LTE (read how to keep your unlimited data plan). The next most expensive per gigabyte data service is AT&T which came in first place, second, except it doesn't have as much area coverage.  The least expensive per gigabyte, Sprint with its unlimited data is not as fast.  Maybe 4G LTE is like sports cars the more expensive, the faster you go?

VZW Share EverythingVerizon Wireless, today, introduced a totally revamped pricing structure for new customers and new contracts called "The Share Everything Plan."  The new plans will be in force starting June 28 and you don't have to change from your present Verizon plans as long as you don't sign a new contract and buy a new subsidized phone.

Share Everything Plans with at least one smartphone include unlimited voice minutes, unlimited text, video and picture messaging and a single data allowance for up to 10 Verizon Wireless devices.

Verizon Wireless is busy rolling out  4G LTE markets some are recently live while others may or may not be live in time for the Droid Incredible 4G LTE or Samsung Galaxy S III.

The following 4G LTE metros went live recently and will surely be ready for the Droid Incredible 4G LTE or Samsung Galaxy S III when they are released:

  • Florida - Panama City, Palm Beach, Alachua, Volusia and Flager counties.
  • Idaho/Eastern Oregon  - along Snake River from the Nyssa Valley to the Weiser Valley, including Ontario and Payette, Blackfoot from the Fort Hall Indian Reservation north to Shelley, near the Bingham County line.
  • Texas (Central)\ Rio Grande Valley, Brownsville, McAllen, Marshall, Longview, Tyler, Big Spring, Paris, Temple/Killeen New Braunfels, Midland, Waco, San Angelo.
  • Mass - Billerica, enhanced coverage in Southeastern Mass, Weston.
  • Connecticut - Windsor Locks.
  • New Hampshire - Hollis.

We're starting to reach the lines of demarcation for the release of the Samsung Galaxy S III and Droid incredible 4G LTE by June 21.
