Freedom Pop Frees Up VoIP with Free Voice, Text & 500MB Data

FreedomPop is now offering their free voice, free text and free data phone service. The free plan includes 500 MBs of data, 500 text messages, and 200 anytime voice minutes free every month for life.

The top tier FreedomPop plan includes unlimited voice and unlimited texting for $10.99 per month with 500 MB of 4G/3G data, or for fewer minutes, it's $7.99 for 500 minutes, unlimited text and 500MB data. The $10.99 plan they claim is 80 to 90 percent less than premium large carrier plans, saving over $1,000 per year. Additional data is 2.5 cents per MB.

Microsoft is promoting the Nokia Lumia by a price reduction of $100 via AT&T and Microsoft stores.In Microsoft stores, you can get a free Nokia camera grip ($74 value) while supplies last. Yes, that's the same price as the iPhone 5S with a contract.

Microsoft claimed when the 1020 was launched that by nearly every metric, the Lumia 1020 takes better pictures than any other phone on the market. The new features of the iPhone 5S only surpass the Lumia 1020 in regards to the dual-colored flash. The Lumia 1020, however has been shown to take incredible photos and video. The iPhone 5S appears to be geared toward more amateur photographers.

Whoa, the Nexus 4 was already a great deal at $299 for a 16GB top of the line pure Google Android powerhouse. Now the company has reduced the price of one of the best smartphones of 2012 by $100 to $199. The 16GB model is $249.99.

The Nexus 4 comes in both black and white. It sold-out almost immediately when it went on sale due to the low price and high specifications. The best features are that it receives upgrades to Android quickly and it is unlocked. Reviewers noted that it lacks LTE, has poor call quality and audio speakers.

The new line of Droid smartphones went on sale and it looks like Droid fans have come to the plate and bought all the available stock online directly from Verizon Wireless. We found some online retailers with discounts and Droids in stock.

Verizon online sales show that the Droid mini will ship by August 29, the Droid MAXX will ship by August 27, and the Droid Ultra will ship by August 27, the shortest wait is a week.
