Verizon Wireless announced that the DROID 4 by Motorola will updated to Android< 4.1, Jelly Bean. The software upgrade will be pushed to customers in phases starting  Tuesday, March 19.

The Droid DNA has many great features Beats Audio and NFC.  We were able see how smoothly the two work together with a demonstration by Verizon's Albert Aydin (video follows).

Aydin shows some of the Droid DNA' features says that with NFC you can tap the Beats Pill audio speaker and Bluetooth will automatically pair. All you have do is tap the Droid DNA onto the NFC chip and your ready to stream audio or use it as a speakerphone.

The Samsung Rugby Po is getting an update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.  This a rugged phone that can use Push-to-talk features.  As we learned, yesterday, with the Samsung Galaxy S III, while updating you have to be careful not to disconnect from the Wi-Fi network if you update it over-the-air.

For the over-the-air update, you must be connected to Wi-Fi.  It can take over ten minutes to download.  Make sure that your phone is at least 50% charged.

Samsung is sending out updates to fix a vulnerability that can be exploited in some Samsung Exynos processors discovered in December. If you receive a notice of the update be sure to download it and install it. AT&T has also confirmed that its Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S III is out over-the-air (OTA) via Wi-Fi only (video and update directions follow).

Don't forget it is always a good idea to backup your data before and update as well as have your phone fully or at least 50% charged during the update.

The WiMobile arrived in Las Vegas for day two of CES and we were able to round up the top stories, today.

Crazy Eights -Samsung announced an eight core processor, the Samsung Exynos 5 Octa. The eight cores are divided into to two sets of four. The total two sets of cores are only used when needed. Mentioned by Samsung's Dr. Stephen Woo who said it would have double the performance for 3D graphics than its competitors.
