Droid Bionic Gets Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich(ICS) Update

Over a year after its release date the Droid Bionic is f-i-n-a-l-l-y getting updated for Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich from Verizon Wireless.

The update 6.7.246.XT875.Verizon.en.US Along with updating to Android 4.04. Verizon typically rolls out updates over time, starting in the middle of the week and pushing out in greater numbers over the weekend.

It is always a good idea to backup your data before starting an update. Also make sure that your Droid bionic is at least 50% charged, if you are roaming, connect to Wi-Fi to get the update.

It will take you approximately 10-15 minutes to download the software, depending on network conditions and another
5-10 minutes to install. You will be unable to make or receive calls, including emergency calls during the update.

US Samsung Galaxy S3 (III) Update Officially Promised with New Easy & Perks

Samsung has officially promised updates to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for Samsung Galaxy S III models in the United States.

European Samsung Galaxy S III Samsung shows on its Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean upgrade support page that the updates for models SPH-L7 10(Sprint), SGH-i747(AT&T), SCH– I535(Verizon), SGH-T99( T-Mobile) and SCH-R530( US Cellular) are all "coming soon."

Droid RAZR MAXX HD Explodes Where Others Fail?

Verizon Wireless launched the Droid RAZR HD and Droid RAZR MAXX HD, today, and a new commercial (video follows).

In the video, the Droid RAZR MAXX HD controls a huge video sound system on the wall, then a game(Capcom's Lost Planet 2) makes the wall explode of what looks like a some kind of adobe castle dwelling.

The tagline is "Droid powers through where others fail. Now more than ever DROID DOES."

Droid RAZR HD/Maxx Review of News Best vs Phone 5?

The Droid RAZR HD and Droid RAZR HD Maxx will be released tomorrow from Verizon Wireless.

Early reviews of the latest Droid RAZR HD models show the following to be the best features:

Kevlar and case - the style and texture best the plasticky build of other makers.
Premium dark (bad ass) look
Snappy processor.
Long battery life.
Strong feel.
Beautiful pixel-peepers' loved display.
Clean almost pure Android OS.

Reviewers did not like:

The Droid RAZR HD ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich not Jelly Bean.
Pentile Super AMOLED display isn't as good as the iPhone 5, HTC One X or Atrix HD.
Lack of removable battery.

Droid RAZR M/HD/MAXX Jelly Bean Update Debate vs Nexus 4?

Everyone wants to be up to date and up to date with the latest news and updates. Our readers have informed us that for some of them the version of OS running on their Droid is important to their buying decisions for smarpthones on Verizon Wireless.

The Droid RAZR M, Droid RAZR HD and RAZR HD MAXX the former two will be releassed on Thursday, will be sold with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich vs the latest Android OS, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Also coming in the near future of smartphone releases is the next Nexus which may be called the Nexus 4 or LG Optimus Nexus G, which will be pure Google and the have the latest operating system installed.

Some developers have resorted to "rooting" the Droid M and Motorola Photon Q. However, rooting these devices could void your warranty if you are not careful.
