iPhone 5 Minor Update Only - No 3GS, 4, 4S or iPad 2/3/4, Expected.

While many are still worried about the open data door in iOS 6.1.3, Apple issued an update for iPhone 5 owners that upgraded the audio for the speaker phone.

The update iOS 6.1.4 is named Build 10B350, and it is 11.5MB.  Many believe there will be no more iOS 6 updates because Apple is expected to announce a new iOS 7 at the World Wide Developers Conference in June.

iPhone users with unlocked iPhones using an T-Mobile SIM car are getting an update while connected to a computer using iTunes.  An over-the-update will not be released until April 12. The most popular feature of the update is that it will enable T-Mobile LTE on unlocked iPhone 5's. The iPhone 5 will be available directly from T-Mobile on April 12, preorders went live today.

The update adds,  HD Voice (iPhone 5 only) Visual Voicemail, 4G network indicator and Commercial Mobile Alert System (CMAS) .

The iOS 6.1.3 was supposed to solve and prevent problems now it looks like it is causing problems.  The security hole that allowed crooks to access contacts through emergency calling has been fixed, there are reports of battery drain, email,Wi-Fi and other issues.

We looked through support forums and forum members as well as Apple have supplied some fixes for some of the problems.  For some the battery drain issue is connected to corrupted connections to email and iCloud.  Apple also suggested resetting Wi-Fi if after the iOS 6.3.1 update for iPhone 3Gs, 4/S, 5 and iPad 2-4.

Thieves not only want to steal your iPhone but your data, too.  In fac,t a recent study found that iPhone iOS has the highest rate of found vulnerabilities for mobile operating systems.

The report by Sourcefire covered "25 Years of Vulnerabilities from 1988 to 2012. 2006 was the worst year in computer history for break-ins which was before the iPhone was released.

After the release of  iOS 6.1.3, yesterday which fixed a lockscreen flaw that allowed access to contacts, a new security opening has been found in the iPhone 3GS, 4, 4s, 5 and iPad 2,3,4. The update also blocks jailbreaking by EvasiOn and fixed other problems.

For data thieves with time and the iPhone in their hands they can get past the security code by using voice control to dial a number. Ejecting the SIM card during the dialing, will end the call and give open access to the address book and photos on the iPhone.

Apple is pushing out an update to fix the lockscreen on most recent model iPhones and iPads called iOS 6.1.3.

The update fixes the lock screen security flaw. There is a security flaw that allows others to access phone contacts and other information from the lock screen by canceling emergency dialing and tapping the power button.

There have been many updates recently for iOS 6.1 to fix different bugs. Developers have been given access to the beta 2 pre-release version of iOS 6.1.3 that offers improvements for iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, iPad 2/3/4 and iPod touch 4th gen and later.

While, I'm sneezing over my keyboard that is filled with germs suffering from the latest flu bug, I thought I could help  those who haven't caught it, yet, with guidelines and apps.

First off, someone who had the flu showed me some videos on her iPhone, I held the iPhone and didn't wash my hands- my bad.  Yes, I should have gotten a flu shot. Another problem I realized is that I have been wearing the same earphones listening to music while sick in bed without cleaning them, yuck.

There were problems with iOS 6.1 and Microsoft Exchange that appeared to fixed in iOS 6.1.2 the latest iOS update. Previously there was an update  for iPhone 4S-only  (6.1) due to a battery drain problem with some networks, especially Vodaphone.

The "Exchange calendar bug that could result in increased network activity and reduced battery life" is fixed with the update. Last week Apple acknowledge the problem and offered a temporary fix.

iPhone iOS 6.1.1 Update 4 iPhone 4S Only 2Day

One of the fastest adopted updates for iPhone, iOS 6.1, has been updated again. Apple issued a new update, today, that fixes bugs reported on the iPhone 4S.  The update 6.1.1 is for iPhone 4S only.

iPhone 4S owners have reported that the new update drains battery life significantly.  Vodaphone asked its iPhone 4S users not to install the update at all.  In fact Vodaphone noted that iPhone 4S users may not be able to receive calls or SMS after the the 4.1 update.
