Mobile Phone Second Home Screen at Night 4 Music,Trailers, How2 & Humor

According to the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Mobile Phone Video Diaries, smartphone users like to view mobile video while doing other screen activities with music, movie trailers, tutorials and funny videos as their favorites.

IAB research showed that 63 percent of digital video screening on mobile phones does not happen on-the-go, but rather at home.

Over a third (36%) of home-based digital video activities happen in a room where a second screen – a TV, desktop computer or tablet – is also available for viewing purposes.

Amazon is offering a special service for Kids ages 3-8 with unlimited content (books, games, apps, movies and TV shows) Kindle Free Time Unlimited for $2.99 a month for one child or 6.99 per family for Amazon Prime members or $4.99 per child or $9.99 per family for non-Prime-members. Owners of the all-new Kindle Fire  and Kindle Fire HD get one month of Kindle Free Time Unlimited for free . 

Kindle Free Time Unlimited  is an optional extension to Kindle Free Time, that offers parents new tools like Time Limits and other parental controls.

Amazon and Viacom have partnered for streaming  Prime video TV shows from MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, TV Land, Spike, VH1, BET, CMT and Logo.

Out of the box, Kindle Fire users can view millions of Amazon Prime  unlimited, commercial-free, instant streaming of movies and TV shows with Prime Instant Video.  The Prime service  is free for a month when you buy the Amazon Kindle Fire.

Prime members will have access to thousands of episodes from Viacom through Prime Instant Video over the next several months.

Android Apps Update: Netflix Ready for Android 2.3 Gingerbread

The Netflix movie viewing app on Android has been updated to support all Android 2.2 and 2.3 devices.  However,  Android table support is only for specfic models.

More than 80 percent of Android users are running Android 2.2 or 2.3.  Previously the Netflix Android app only worked on selected Android models.

Netflix came slow to Android due to digital rights managment(DRM) concerns .

Texas Instruments' new OMAP 4 platform has been certified for Netflix and enables secure HD (1080p) streaming to HD TVs.
