Here we go round the round-up of the hottest coolest best smartphones of the year from PCMag that will be added to our research data and revealed later. PCMag reviewers including Sascha Segan are the most technically adroit around and discover minute details about operating systems and hardware.
So far, we've gone through the best of CNET-List, PC World's List and Consumer Reports' top best-rated choices for Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint.
Segan is especially critical of "bloatware' by carriers and has been a stalwart advocate of keeping operating systems pure. He'll tell you immediately what works well and what doesn't. Besides that he's really smart and will tell the manufacturers and carriers exactly what he thinks.
PCMag published its "Best of the Year 2011" in November which gives both gold (G) and silver (S) awards by carrier, all the top winners received Editors' Choice (EC). The Samsung Galaxy SII received three best of the year awards and also beat on the iPhone on many other lists. PCMag only honors the iPhone 4S for the Sprint network. We have summarized the honorees, followed by the Wireless and Mobile News Review of Reviews (WMNS RoR) and best prices as of this writing.
