AT&T announced that the Nokia Lumia 900. will go on sale April 8 for $99.99 with a contract. This super Windows Phone will be backed by a huge marketing campaign. The Nokia Lumia 900. is the first 4G LTE Windows phone. Preorders start March 30 online from AT&T.
It has been reported that Microsoft, Nokia and AT&T are planning to spend $100 million marketing the Nokia Lumia 900.
There will be a huge television ad campaign as well as in-store promotions with AT&T reps carrying a Nokia Lumia 900 with them at all times. It will also come with free accessories. The price itself packs a lot of power against other competing LTE smarpthones.
At Mobile World congress Nokia announced the new Lumia 610 the first Windows Phone with the Tango update(Windows Phone 7.5) that needs less RAM to run. The Nokia Lumia 610 will be available in April.
The Windows Phone Blog noted "Windows Phone 7.5 now enables our partners to deliver phones using a lower cost processor (the Qualcomm 7x27a “system on a chip”) and reduced memory (256MB on-board memory)—while still delivering the buttery-smooth Windows Phone experience."
