Cheap Voyager Mobile How It Works: On Maiden Voyage w/NYU Student @ Helm

The first Voyager Mobile announcement was very popular with our readers, a night before launch day which was supposed to be May 15. However, the website was attacked by a DDOS attack and could not open until today.

We contacted CEO John Mardini who clarified the buying process for the new cheap unlimited service. You can only buy phones or smartphones that are not subsidized and locked to Voyager Mobile. The cheapest phone is $119.00 for a Samsung Flip phone.

NYU, senior Mardini started the company, last year with funds from his family because he was fed-up with his cell phone bill that even with unlimited services was over $200.00 a month when added roaming/international call fees were included. The company has seven employees two-of-whom the parents of the 22-year-old entrepreneur.

payLo Lowered to $40 mo. 4 Unlimited Voice/Messages

payLo by Virgin Mobile is geared for heavy texters and talkers who don't use much data.

The Service includes unlimited voice minutes and unlimited messages((text, picture, email and/or IM) but only 50MB of data service that expires in one month. The plan is only available with certain feature phones including the Samsung M575 phone.

U Prepaid Gets New Samsung Repp Along with LG Attune, Exhange & Saber.

Regional carriers U.S.Cellular and Alltel Wireless partnered to launch U Prepaid in Walmart Stores in18 states beginning in May.

Depending on where customers live, the U Prepaid service will run on either U.S. Cellular's high-speed national network or Alltel's coast-to-coast network.

AT&T GoPhone Data Rate Change - Per KB Plan Grandfathered

The conjecturatti were getting a little anxious that AT&T GoPhone owners would have to pay an extra monthly fee to access data services when the plan is upgraded on Sunday, April 22. Those who already are assigned to the GoPhone per KB deal, can rest assured that you don't have upgrade to a more expensive plan. The new data plans double up data for data plan users, only.

We called support for GoPhone. GoPhone users that currently don't have a data plan and pay the 1-cent per 5KB rate will be able to continue to use their present plans when the new data plans go into effect.

MetroPCS Throttles and De-Cheaps LTE, Keeps Unlimited 3G

MetroPCS has joined the high-price data train for LTE data plans, increasing prices and throttling lower priced 4G LTE data plans. Contrary to headlines the unlimited data plans have not be axed or wiped out, just repriced and changed for 4G LTE.

MetroPCS added an extra $1o the monthly fee for unlimited 4G LTE data plan making it $70 a month which includes unlimited texting, data, email and either MetroStudio video or Rhapsody unlimited music.
