Samsung Galaxy RoundWe received a news release from Samsung this evening with the official announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Round. Earlier today there were photos leaked of the curvy smartphone with the first commercially available curved screen.

It's really big, almost Note 3-like but has a curved screen  5.7" HD Super AMOLED screen and curved back.  Because there is no glass, it's very light, it only 7.9mm thick and weighs 154g. It is being released in Korea in brown only for now.  It has a leather-like stitching on the back and fits nicely in a hand.

Samsung Galaxy S Jelly Bean UpdateSamsung announced at the UnPacked event,  that he Samsung Galaxy S III and Galaxy S4 will be getting an update to Android 4.3 in October.

The Samsung Galaxy S III has not received the Android update to 4.2, yet. The Samsung Galaxy S4 shipped with Android 4.2. The upgrade along with adding the ability to connect with the Samsung Galaxy Gear wearable device, will also update the system to Android 4.3.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Preorder in Wild Orange - October U.S. Release Dates

GalaxyNote3If you want to preorder the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or Gear, you can starting at 9:o0am EST, today. According to a news release, we just received from Samsung PR reps the Galaxy Note 3 will be available it he U.S. in October as well as the Galaxy Gear.

The Galaxy Note has wider (5.7inch) full HD Super AMOLED touchscreen, 3,200mAh battery, 13 MP camera, 3GB RAM with a new soft-textured back covers in black, white, pink or wild orange.   It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, and running Android 4.3.

Not to miss out on the the colorful rainbow options of the Moto X and iPhone 5c, Samsung will also offer exchangeable back covers in dozens of additional colors.

Samsung Galaxy Gear Watch Out -Review of Comments & Selfies

Samsung announced the smartwatch smart device the Samsung Galaxy Gear, today in Berlin.  GalaxyGearSome are saying the only reason the Samsung Galaxy Gear was released was to beat Apple to the wrist punch. Most who have seen the Gear are apprehensive or don't get it. A few see some potential.

The Gear which costs $299 is a supplemental device to a Samsung smartphone so that you don't have to take them out or look at them for notifications. It will also make voice-activated phone calls. It can find your phone/tablet, by activating sound in the missing device. It uses Bluetooth to connect to the primary device. Currently, it only works with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and 10.1. Updates to the Galaxy S III and 4 are expected to be out in October.
