BlackBerry Q10 Release Dates in June(Verizon T-Mobile) & Summer (Sprint)

The BlackBerry Q10 will coming form Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon this summer.

The QWERTY BlackBerry Q10 will be available in June from Verizon Wireless with preorders starting in the coming weeks.

T-Mobile will be offered the Q10 in June with business customers paying $119.99 with qualified plans while the T-Mobile price with two-years of $20 a month payment is $99.99.

Sprint only committed to selling the BlackBerry Q10 in the "late summer."

Cheapest iPhone 5 Got More Expensive, Still Best Deal vs Sprint, AT&T & Verizon

The iPhone 5 on  T-Mobile when all costs are figured was the best deal around for an iPhone and still is after a $50 down payment price hike that started today. The $50 discount can be achieved by transfering a  phone number from another carrier or trading in a valuable used smartphone. (see chart)

The $99.99 down deal is now over the total payments for the iPhone 5 has been increased from $579.99 to $629.  The initial fee to buy an iPhone 5 is now $150.

If you were wondering why the LTE deployment at Sprint has been so s-l-o-w, Sprint explained why in papers filed at the SEC. There were shortages, problems with permits and the environment.

"During the second half of 2012, we experienced delays with vendor execution, backhaul connectivity delays, shortages in equipment such as fiber cable and antennas, as well as other regulatory and environmental issues," said Sprint.

Nextel iDen Done with Push-to-Talk - June 30, 2013

Sprint will shut down the iDEN Nextel National Network June 30 with the lat day of service on June 29.  On June 30, Sprint iDEN customers won't be able to make emergency phone calls or any kind of call or  use any kind of data service.

Sprint stated it has been notifying customers to migrate from the iDEN Nextel National Network to avoid service disruptions.

As we guessed, last week, Sprint was planning the launch of Sprint LTE in Los Angeles.  Today, we learned that the official launch of Sprint LTE in Los Angeles and twenty other metros. Virgin Mobile and Boost users with LTE smartphones will also be able to use the new LTE network. Sprint is heavily promoting its 4G LTE products with discounts and deals.

We were cautioned to note that 4G LTE coverage will not be comprehensive at first, but should increase steadily and be largely completed in a matter of weeks.

T-Mobile iPhone 5 vs AT&T, Verizon & Sprint Best Deals

The T-Mobile started selling the iPhone today with its un-carrier plans and 0% interest financing.  The question remains for many, how does the iPhone 5 compare price wise across carriers?

As far as hardware goes, the iPhone 5 hardware is almost identical across carriers, except for spectrum and LTE deployment. The software for the unlocked iPhone 5 has been updated so that the iPhone 5 can be used the T-Moblie's fastest data spectrum, LTE.

T-Mobile announced its un-carrier plans with unlimited text and voice, as well non-subsidized phones.

Sprint, Boost & Virgin 4G LTE Launches in Los Angeles + 20 2Day-NOT

We were wondering we were asked to meet during with Sprint execs and reps on Wednesday when they were not making an announcement.  It seems LTE may be deployed in 21 places today, Friday for the Sprint network that also includes Boost and Virgin Mobile.

Sprint LTE can be as fast as 13Mbps down and 5.5Mbps uploading data. Sprint has overhauled its towers for increased capacity and more stable connections.  The leaked screenshot, however was incorrect.  It seems the deployment is taking longer than expected.  The screenshot may have been from a time when Sprint was planning for the deployment.

Sprint is updating the Samsung Galaxy S II  Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. This is good sign to Samsung Galaxy S II owners on other carriers, that usually follow with updates soon after.

The update must be completed using either the Kies app or Samsung's Simple upgrade tools. You will not be able to make emergency calls during the update processes. Don't stop the update once it starts. Don't forget it is always a good idea to backup your data before and update as well as have your phone fully or at least 50% charged during the update.

Sprint also announced the details of the HTC One launch in April.  Preorders will begin for the 32 GB model-only and be in store and online on April 19.

April 19 is the release day for Sprint and AT&T, maybe T-Mobile will follow shortly. The Sprint news release highlights "HTC One reinvents the mobile experience by providing users a live stream that feeds personally relevant updates, a breakthrough camera that brings the photo gallery to life and the first dual front-facing stereo speakers on a phone with amplified audio."

HTC EVO 4G LTE Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update Out

You should  update your HTC EVO 4G LTE to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, you'll have to do it on your own. The over-the-air-update will not be pushed out until January 3, 2012.

The update includes Android Jelly Bean features along with an update to HTC Sense 4 +. The HTC EVO 4G LTE appeared in the top best smartphones of 2012, including best of HTC and Sprint.

The update is software version is: 3.15.651.16.  Updates may be released in stages.
