Apple released iOS 7.1, packed with bug fixes and the connected car interface, Apple CarPlay. Be careful when you download it because iOS 7.1 requires 250-325 MB of disk space.
CarPlay lets iPhone users make calls, navigate, listen to music or get messages with a word or a touch. iPhone functions are controlled from the cars’ controls and Siri can be activated with a steering wheel button.
On November 1, the day after Halloween Apple began pushing out the update 6.0.1 which helped some and caused problems for others.
We have not been able to verify if this update corrects the ghosting data problem that AT&T iPhone 5 owners have been experiencing where customers were charged for data while their iPhone 5 were charging or connected to Wi-Fi.
