Nokia Lumia Gains on BlackBerry, Due 2 Nokia Lumia 521,925 928 Cameras

Nokia's Lumia smartphone sales have been gaining, as we reported with the latest Amplified Analytics report. Nokia has been promoting its smartphones for great cameras that work in low light conditions.

The numbers show that sales reached 7.2 million, which is slightly more than BlackBerry sales. BlackBerry sales for Q2 totaled 6.8 million units. Analysts contend that the increase in sales was helped by the Nokia Lumia 520. These numbers clearly put Windows Phone in third place after iPhone and Android.

The HTC 8XT will be coming from Sprint for $99.99 with a new line or eligible upgrade, two-year service agreement and $50 mail-in rebate via reward card. It has sound enhancements, a dedicated camera button and is the first Windows Phone with BoomSound. It was announced along with the Samsung ATIV S Neo with Galaxy S-like functionality.

The HTC 8XT features a 1.4GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 4G LTE support, 1080p video capture, 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM memory, microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB memory cards, a crisp 4.3-inch display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS support and 1,800mAh lithium-ion battery.

Nokia Lumia 900 Update Out

The update to Windows 7.8 is available for the Nokia Lumia 900, the phone that claimed that the smartphone beta test was over.

The update includes st 7.10.8862.144 software, an upgrade from the previous update that was halted.

Microsoft Windows Phone is finding a new market and expanding market share. The latest Nokia Windows Phone, the Nokia Lumia 521, sold-out on its first day of sale.

T-Mobile no longer subsidizes smartphones and the Nokia Lumia 521 is bargain in comparison to top-of-the-line smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S 4, HTC One or iPhone 5.
