Do you think your Verizon Wireless bill is too high?  Protestors in Santa Monica, today,  protested not about the high bills themselves but that Verizon does not pay corporate taxes.

Protestors claimed to be "outing" corporate tax dodgers and their allies in Congress by asking  them to pay their fair share at the Santa Monica Verizon Wireless store at 26th Street and Wilshire Blvd.

Previously, Apple sued Microsoft and HP claiming that the graphical user interface (GUI) was copyrighted and the opposing OS were like the MAC OS.

The court ruled "Apple cannot get patent-like protection for the idea of a graphical user interface, or the idea of a desktop metaphor [under copyright law]"

Apple contends in its patent infringement lawsuits currently in court that Android is copying and becoming "like" the iPhone.

 The FCC investigated and issued a Verizon Wireless $1.25 million  fine for blocking apps from the Android Google play store that gave customers the ability to tether without paying a monthly fee. Even with this finding, Verizon Wireless ranked highest in customer service satisfaction in the most recent J.D. Power study.

Verizon Wireless must now let users tether without the as long as they are on a tiered data plan. Unlimited data plan holders will not be allowed to use the tethering apps.
