We came with one day of the exact release date for the HTC One - August 22 online and in stores a day before the Droid Ultra and MAXX are released. Today Sprint has started offering the HTC One in red, which usually is the Verizon color of choice. The Droid Ultra and Max will come in red and black.

HTC One, Galaxy S4 mini & Other Verizon August Release Dates
Verizon Wireless has been slow to release some popular models of smartphones while emphasizing its own Droid-branded smartphones. There are leaks of new models coming to the network.
There are also reports that a SKU for a blue HTC One was seen in the Verizon stock list. The red HTC One version will be a Sprint exclusive. An unnamed source stated that Verizon will release the HTC One on August 15 as a replacement for the larger Droid DNA. The Droid DNA is no longer being sold online at Verizon Wireless.

Android amounted to 51.5% sales share of the smartphone market with iOS following at 42.5% in the quarter ending in June 2013, reported Kantar Worldpanel ComTech. Windows Phones shares have increased to 4% smartphone sales share, up 1.1% since last year.
In the U.K., Apple’s iOS surged 5.2 percentage points to 30.5% of the British smartphone market, driven by first-time smartphone buyers opting for the iPhone 4. Windows Phone continued to consolidate its position as the third OS globally, with strong performances in Britain and France where it has 8.6% and 9.0% of the market respectively.
LG Optimus Pro G Coming to Verizon Wireless?
A new FCC filing shows that the LG Optimus G Pro aka the LG VS980 will be coming to Verizon Wireless.
The AT&T number for the LG Optimus G Pro is LG E 980.
AT&T has been offering many model Android smartphones before Verizon Wireless. AT&T also launched the HTC One which is expected from Verizon Wireless.
The next G series phone will be called simply, the LG G2 while the Vu series will cover 4:3 ratio smartphone naming from LG.
Verizon Wireless Gives Edge for Faster Smartphone Upgrades
Verizon announced its new Edge device payment plan, with no contract where the smartphone full price is divided into 24 months and the first upgrade with trade-in can be made in six months as long as the 50% of the phone has been paid for.
