Moto Q Global Rated 4 out of 5 by Wireless and Mobile News
After the announced availability of the Moto Q global AT&T Windows smartphone, geared towards international travelers, we searched for in depth reviews to review and found some consensus about the Moto Q .
First off, the keyboard appears to be a hit and fairly easy to learn. The speed of the 3G access and all multimedia aspects of this smartphone including sound quality were excellent. The bundled software, GPS, Bluetooth, microSD, world roaming and call quality received favorable reviews.
Sometimes the Moto Q dropped out of the 3G network down to the EDGE network, slowing it down. The 3G network is not necessarily available in all countries oversees.
Most reviewers thought the limited-time price of $199 with a two-year contract was reasonable. However, one reviewer did point out that the AT&T data plans were very expensive, $45 a month unlimited data in the US, plus $25 a month for unlimited data overseas.

Mark Spoonauer at Laptop Magazine, called the Moto Q global, “a bionic Q” and “one of the most compelling Windows Mobile phones yet... with one the best keyboards we’ve used.” He liked the features of GPS, Opera Browswer, Documents to Go, good launch buttons and that the screen automatically adjusting brightness. He was impressed with video and call quality. However, sometimes the data dropped out of 3G and went to the slower EDGE network.
Yardena Arar at PC World thought the Moto Q was resonably priced but found the data plans in the US and abroad were very expensive. In foreign countries the Moto Q sometimes drops down to EDGE network. The keyboard was comfortable for typing, voice calls sounded good, and Web browsing and e-mail access “was a pleasure on the speedy 3G network.” Multimedia playback was impressive and there was easy access to the microSD slot.
Bonnie Cha at CNET rated the Moto Q9h Global 7.3 out 10 for its great messaging, spacious keyboard, solid call quality and multimedia performance, along with HSDPA, Bluetooth, GPS and world roaming capabiliites. She did notice that the battery drained quickly. Great call and audio quality made the Moto Q9h “definitely worth the wait.”
