Verizon Wireless announced that new and existing Family SharePlan customers can add or combine lines across the country on one account so that they can share minutes with friends and family members even if they live in another state or region; receive just one bill for all multiple wireless and Verizon landline numbers across the country; and activate new lines of service for a relative, friend or associate in any other part of the company’s nationwide footprint. The ability to share minutes on different lines regardless of area code on the same plan is unique in the industry.
Business customers can also enjoy flexibility in their account management. Business owners can activate new lines in different parts of the country and share allowance minutes nationally. If a company is moving one of its employees to a new state and wants him or her to have a local number, it can do a simple number change and keep the employee — and all their employees across the country — on a single Business SharePlan account.
“Today, families sometimes find themselves living far apart, and wireless service has made it easier to stay in touch across those distances. We strive to streamline our practices to make it easier for customers to get wireless the way they want it, and we have the most up-to-date systems in place to offer the best customer experience in wireless. These new options are a win for our customers, making it easier for them to manage their growing wireless needs, particularly as they expand Family SharePlans to accommodate students away at college, retirement and vacation lifestyles, and many other family situations,” said Jack Plating, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Verizon Wireless. “Our customer-friendly policies including our Test Drive, Worry Free Guarantee and My Account Advantage, provide a world-class wireless customer experience.”
In addition, traveling customers can visit any of the 2,400 company-owned Communications Stores, kiosks and stores within Circuit City and make changes to their account or resolve an issue, change their mobile number, change an address, or upgrade equipment. Customers also can easily activate their phone with any area code and telephone number available in the Verizon Wireless national footprint.
