There have been several reports that the first AT&T Wi-Fi hotspot at Starbucks is up and running in San Antonio. The Surface experience also surfaced there.
Beginning April 17, visitors to AT&T stores in New York City, Atlanta, San Antonio, and San Francisco can try to experience Surface in person.
AT&T is the first company in the world to bring Microsoft Surface to life in a retail environment, giving customers the ability to explore their mobile worlds using touch and device recognition technology. Users will be able to place two devices on Surface at once, comparing features and benefits. Even looking at coverage maps becomes an interactive experience when users navigate them by moving their hands across the display. This will give them a unique experience of using cutting-edge surface technology to help make purchasing decisions easier.
