Windows Phone 7 Previews Ready for Testing to Begin by Devs

WindowsPhone-300x221.jpgFollowing the news the Microsoft is subsidizing Windows Phone developers with guarantees and perks while offering training.  Microsoft announced today that test units of Windows Phone 7 prototypes are ready for developers. Windows Phone SDK Beta was released on July 12.

Microsoft claims software has undergone extensive testing - in daily use by more than
1000 people at Microsoft who have been using WP7 as their only phone
for the past several months, and the more than 10,000 devices in our
test labs. They tested usability, battery life, network
connectivity, and many other metrics for a long time. Starting today, thousands of prototype phones from
Asus, LG and Samsung are making their way into the hands of developers
over the next few weeks.

Bloggers are already commenting on the new Windows Phone 7 OS,
pointing
out that it does not support copy and paste.

Microsoft's former kingpin, Bill Gates commented today on NPR that
Microsoft will be coming out with good mobile devices.

A preview with just some features of Windows Phone 7, the two
semi-smartphones with lots of socializing Kin One and Kin Two will
killed by poor sales and the high cost of data plans for a primarily
teen-focused user-base.
