Black Friday may become the time that puts Verizon in the black because it looks as if they may be revealing new data plans and pricing in time for the Holidays.
Verizon CEO Ivan Seidenberg said Verizon Wireless will offer new data plans based on usage with limiits that will likely roll out over the next four to six months at a Goldman Sachs conference on Thursday.
"We're not sure we agree yet with how they valued the data," Seidenberg said.
Seidenberg said that Verizon will be able to introduce tiered data plans with new products and services like 4G LTE. Earlier this week, Wireless and Mobile News confirmed that Verizon will launch LTE in 25-30 markets by the end of 2010.
Seidenberg said that Verizon has had the 4G network in 30 or so markets up and running since June.
Seidenberg also reported that LTE will go live in "50 airports" as LTE rolls out. "Some of those won't be in the same markets as the 30 markets."
He also hinted that an iPhone model may come about. "At some point, Apple will get with the program," but did not say when. "We would love to carry it (iPhone), but we have to earn it."
Verizon has a web teaser page up and running that touts the speed of the new LTE network.
