LG Optimus One: LG Optimus M @ MetroPCS $229

MetroPCS will start selling the LG Optimus M, the first Android smartphone from MetroPCS, on Wednesday, November 24.  LG Optimus M, running Android 2.2, has a 3.2-inch touchscreen, a unique LG-designed user interface (UI), along with a 3.2MP camera that features face tracking and smile shot, Wi-Fi, and a long-lasting 1500mAh capacity battery.

The LG Optimus M will be available from MetroPCS for $229 with a $50 MetroPCS monthly service plan.

LG reported that LG Optimus One sales topped one million units in the first 40 days of sale.  Other phones in the Optimus series in the U.S. include the Optimus S (Sprint) and Optimus T (T-mobile), along with the Vortex (Verizon).  The Optimus One series is aggressively discounted.  The Optimus T sells for $29.99 with a contract and the Optimus S is $49.99.  The Vortex from Verizon was announced for $79.99, but rumors suggest a possible free promotion in the future.
