Verizon has started advertising the launch of its 4G LTE network in 38 markets and airports in December, calling it "the most advanced 4G network in the world."
Verizon is airing a television commercial and has launched a website for 4G LTE. The commercial calls the network lightning fast.
Verizon claims that its 4G LTE will offer download speeds of 5-12Mbps and upload speeds of 2-5Mbps. Verizon suggests that 4G LTE
can be used for watching video conferencing, Skype, video viewing,
uploading photos, mulitplayer games and networking for business.
"It's the dawn of the new age of mobile greatness. Bask in it and enjoy."
It has been reported that the first services will be USB modems for access followed by 4G LTE smartphones in February.
The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network was announced at CTIA in October.
