Apple released the beta version of iOS 4.3 to developers with some new features, including Find My Friends, mobile hotspots, and customized messaging alerts. The new iOS also adds more multi-touch features that are optimized for iPad.
Find My Friends uses the MobileMe push service. The iPad will have an orientation lock feature. AirPad video will be open to developers. The iPad will be able to show full-screen iAd banner ads.
The new messaging feature allows users to play text and MMS message alerts - once,
twice, three, five, or 10 times - whatever they prefer.
The update will not be issued to 2nd Generation iPod Touch and the iPhone 3G.
