Although Samsung cancelled the "Nexus Prime, Samsung Unpluged Google event, Samsung announced two Android smartphones from AT&T the Samsung Captivate Glide and Samsung Double Time. We think that the Samsung Double Time is like the HTC Rhyme in that appears to be female-focused.
The Samsung Double Time is obviously for females due to its pink color and for texters becuse it has a flip-out keyboard as well as two touchscreens. Therefore you look at the phone from the outside or when it is open with keyboard showing.
Features of the Samsung Double Time include double inside/outside 3.2" Touchscreens, 4-row landsccape QWERTY, 600MHz processor, microSD card suport(2GB installed), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.2MP camera and TouchWiz.
The Samsung Double Time runs Android 2.2 Froyo and should be out in time for the holiday in pink or white. A price has not bee set yet, but expect it will be cheap with contract because AT&T has been agessively pricing its phones, especailly entry-level smartphones. A higher-end female focused smarpthone is the HTC Rhyme.
The Samsung Double Time is part of the AT&T Android invasion today.
