The T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II goes in presale today. The Samsung Galaxy S II will be the one of first smartphones to use the T-Mobile 4G (HSPA+ 42) network. It costs $229.99 after a rebate with a contract.
Features of the Samsung Galaxy S II include 4.52" Super AMOLED touchscreen, DLNA, HDMI out, 8MP camera, front-facing camera, 16GB storage on board, microSD slot, 1850mAh battery and is NFC enabled. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 1.5 GHz dual-core processor running Android 2.3.(Gingerbread).
Benchmark tests and network speeds may make it the fastest data loading smartphone on the market, maybe even faster than the iPhone 4S. We will keep you posted when we review it.
The "Fact Sheet" says that the Samsung Galaxy S II lets you browse the web faster than on the average home Internet and has shown average download speeds approaching 8 Mbps and peak speeds of over 22 Mbps.
Entertainment software includes Netflix, T-Mobile TV, Samsung Media Hub, T-Mobile Video Chat, Zinio Reade and, Slacker Radio.
