According to a recent video it looks like Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be a tasty treat on the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime.
Ice Cream Sandwich will definitely be a sweet addition to the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime. when it is updated. A new video by Nvidia shows Android 4.0 running on the Prime.
The announcer shows that Android 4.0 is running on the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime. He then demonstrates some features of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich:
- There is transition effect when swiping through the homescreen.
- There are folders on the homescreen to save files.
- Video playback is full 1080p.
- He shows the game Ribtibe game running with a great water effect.
The video shows a developer version of Android 4.0 because it there is a flashing border that confirms onscreen controls.
NVDIA n the comments section wrote
"The ICS demo you see here is just an early preview of things to come. Asus will be better able to answer questions about when ICS will he available on the Transformer Prime."
Although the Asus Transformer Prime is not out yet, you can preorder it on Amazon in either color for $499.99 for the 32GB version or $599.99 for the 64GB version. It expected to released in December with an update to Android 4.0 shortly after its launch.
The Asus Eee Pad Transformer Primeis the first Tegra 3 quad-core tablet on the market.
The Asus Transformer Prime is 8.3mm thin and weighs 586g, which is a bit heavier than the Tab 10.1, but lighter than the iPad 2.
Features include, 10.1" touchscreen, mini-HDMI output, microSD slot, 1280 x 800, Super IPS+ Gorilla Glass touchscreen, 1GB of RAM, GPS, gyroscope, SonicMaster audio, 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera and 8MP camera with 1080p video recording.
The Asus Transformer Prime will come in two colors - metallic swirled Amethyst Gray and Champagne Gold. There is matching keyboard dock that has a special clip /clasp to hold the two pieces together.
