Verizon Wireless' Thanksgiving Day and Cyber Monday sales gave us illusions of great bargains, especially for the Motorola Xoom @ $199, and we missed a great value Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone arriving to the network . The Samsung Illusion which normally will retail of $79.99 was launched on last Wednesday.
The Samsung Illusion is part of the Black Friday through Cyber Monday promotion and will be free with a contract until midnight EST tonight. The 3G, 1GHZ processor Samsung Illusion has a 3MP camera, SWYPE typing app, supports up to 5 mobile hotspots, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and comes with a 2GB microSD card.
The Samsung Illusion is only available online from
Verizon Wireless and will be in stores in January.
The Samsung Illusion has some environmentally friendly features:
- Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Platinum Rating – the Samsung Illusion scored 84 out of 119 points to receive the “Platinum” UL rating.
- Rear casing and battery cover are made from 70 percent post-consumer material and 35 percent of the front casing is post-consumer material
- Packaging made from bleach-free paper (post-consumer waste) and printed with vegetable ink
- Box material uses 60 percent recycled paper (post-consumer waste)
If you want to nab one before the deal ends be aware that the Cyber Monday sales ends at midnight EST tonight.
