Xoom Over to a Xoom Tablet for $199.99
This is the first time we've seen a large 10.1" tablet with 4G LTE, the Motorola Xoom cost less than $200. When it was originally launched the Motorola Xoom had a faster processor than the original iPad. The Motorola Xoom received good reviews and there are some neat tips and tricks for it. It is also selling very well, we suspect that it may sell out.
Yes, the Motorola Xoom with 32GB of storage deal is not as low as the $150 HP TouchPad 32GB deal(with computer purchase) but it does have a 4G and 3G data and will be upgraded to Android 4.0 Gingerbread when it comes out. Because Google now owns Motorola, you can be sure that the Xoom will continue to be supported. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich combines tablet and smartphone functions and adds advanced features to Android such as face unlock, multitasking and ability for tablets to use smartphone apps in a smaller windows (see all features).
Another great feature about buying online is that there is free activation - Fridays through Mondays.
Although Amazon Wireless has some steep discounts for new customers, for renewing customers who want to buy a 4G LTE smartphone the deal runs $50-$100 off the list price. Amazon also does not have the Motorola Xoom deal, yet.
Free Droid Incredible 2 or $49.99 LG Revolution
The next compelling sale if you don't need 4G LTE access is the Red Droid Incredible 2 is free with a contract. This deal beats the Amazon Penny Pincher sale by one cent. Reviewers gave the Droid Incredible 2 good ratings for a world phone, battery life and speed. For Friday the Verizon offer has free activation.
The only better Amazon deal in the list of deals from Verizon for Thursday and Friday during the sale is the LG Revolution which is on-cent for new customers and one cent for individual plans with an activation fee. If you are part of a family plan on Amazon you'll have to $69.99 plus activation, that will make the Verizon Wireless your best bet.
Reviewers of the LG Revolution found the good features to be the bright 4.3" touchscreen, 4G LTE data speeds and Netflix.
