AT&T announced the Sony Xperia Ion will be released on June 24. Priced at $99.99 with a contract its two top features are NFC and compatibility with Sony smart devices.
Features of the Sony Xperia Ion include 4.6? HD (1280×720) touchscreen, 12MP camera (1080 capture), HDMI port, aluminum body and 1.5GHz processor. It will lauch with Android 2.3 Gingerbread which some think will hinder sales.12MP camera. It is Sony’s first LTE smartphone that compliments Sony HD TVs with super fast Sony camera built-i.
The Sony Xperia Ion touchscreen is powered by the Sony Bravia engine that is also found on Sony TVs.
