Apple has released a new update for iPhone, iPad and iPod. iOS 6.1. It will work with iPhone 3GS and later(4, 4S 5) , iPad mini, iPad 2, iPad 3rd generation and and iPad 4, as well as iPod Touch 4th generation and after.
The update suports many languages including English French, German, Spanish, Italian, Danish, Polish, Portuguese, Thai, Vietnamese, and more.
The update adds LTE for more iPhone carriers and includes:
- iTunes music match to download songs from iCloud
- Bug fixes.
- New button to reset advertising Identifier.
- Siri function to buy movie ticket via Fandango.
- Shared photo streams, on iCloud and Passbook.
- More language support for Siri with sport scores, restaurant reviews and movie times.
- Maps with turn-by-turn directions and flyover view.
It always a good idea to backup your data before updating you software. You should also make sure that there is enough space on the device to install the update.
The update should be available over iTunes.
- Connect your iPhone/iPad to a computer with a USB cable running iTunes.
- Select device in iTunes.
- Click "Check for Update" in the Summary pane to check for available updates.
- If an update is available, iTunes prompts you to download and install the update. Do not disconnect your device until the update has finished.
To update over the air:
- Make your device is connected to a power source. To avoid potential data costs connect your device to a Wi-Fi network.
- Go to Settings > General > Software Update. iOS will automatically check for available updates.
- If an update is available* you can tap Download to download the update.
- After the download has completed tap Install to update your iOS.

It's about time. Has anyone noticed any problems?
What about the original iPad? I guess we don't have enough processor speed.
