The cheapest way to buy the Wi-Fi Nexus 7 models and avoid shipping costs is through Walmart which offers free site-to store or home delivery. The Google Play store is also offering free ground shipping for a "limited time."

iPad, Samsung Galaxy and Nexus Tablet Sales Decline Waiting for Next iPad

tabletsDuring the second quarter of 2013, tablet sales slowed, reported IDC.  IDC offers a few explanations.

World wide tablet sales were up almost 60% over last year, however the second quarter were down 10% lower than the first quarter.  IDC believes that the market slowed because there was not a a new iPad released and Apple fans were waiting for the next iPad.

By the fourth quarter, IDC by expects new products from Apple, Amazon, and others to drive impressive growth in the market.

Next New Nexus 7 on 7-24 with More and not Moto X

Google has sent out invites to the media for an event in San Francisco on July 24, with Sundar Pichai, product manager for Android and Chrome. Leaked planograms from Office Depot reveal a new Nexus 7. There is no word yet about the Nexus 5 smartphone.

Many contend that at the Google event, it will reveal a new version of Android 4.3 and the next new Nexus 7 tablet. Office Depot pricing for the new 32GB Nexus 7 appears to be $269.99 or $229.99.

Android Central showed leaked photos showing a rear camera, quad-core 600 Snapdragon processor, microUSB port for charging, black case, and dual speakers.
