As our faithful readers know, we've been surveying all the top ten best coolest smartphone lists to get ready for our annual Wireless and Mobile News Top Ten Best Coolest Smartphones for 2010 Report.  So far we've examined Consumer Reports, ZDNet, Top 10 Reviews, PCMag and Laptop.  Today, we checked PCWorld.  Smartphones we have previously not seen on other publications' lists are the Samsung Galaxy S Samsung Mesmerize and Google Nexus One.  PCWorld's list has three Samsung Galaxy S phones, which have been a trend thus far.

Here's why PCWorld deemed these Smartphones to be the Top Ten of 2010 (on 11/30/2010):

  • Samsung Galaxy S Samsung Epic 4G (Rated 4.5) Sprint - the first 4G smartphone for Samsung Media Hub movies/video, and it offers
DLNA media sharing.  Features include a gorgeous 4-inch super AMOLED
    touchscreen, QWERTY keyboard, 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, WiMAX 4G, 720p
video capture, Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, Bluetooth and 512
    megabytes of RAM.
  • T-Mobile myTouch 4G (Rated 4.5) T-Mobile - uses the T-Mobile "4G" network.
  • HTC EVO 4G (Rated 4.5) Sprint - with WiMAX high-speed
data, video viewing, huge 4.3" touchscreen.  Features of HTC EVO 4G include an 8-megapixel
    video-capture-capable camera and a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera for
    video chat.
  • iPhone 4 (Rated 4.5) AT&T - reviewers called it "the best iPhone, yet or ever," and slightly ahead of the superphone pack.
  • Droid X (Rated 4.5) Verizon - called excellent and one of the hottest phones of the summer.  The 4.3-inch (WVGA 854 x 480) touchscreen is referred to as gorgeous, beautiful and a knockout.
  • DROID Incredible by HTC (Rated 4.5) Verizon - Android smartphone with the full bells and
whistles of an 8-megapixel camera (with LED flash), 8 Gigabytes of
onboard storage, 3.7" OLED touchscreen, GPS, social-sync, FM radio and
    Bluetooth.
  • Nexus One (Rated 4.5) T-Mobile/Unlocked - now defunct experiment for Google's webstore and pure Google. We suspect that the new well-reviewed Nexus S, the next in the series, will replace it.  The Nexus S is now the only smartphone with Android 2.3, Gingerbread.
  • Samsung Galaxy S Samsung Mesmerize (Rated 4.5) U.S. Cellular - Super AMOLED makes this a super phone.
  • Samsung Focus (Rated 4) AT&T - beautifully designed with a gorgeous display and
solid 5-megapixel camera, but the verdict is still out on Windows Phone 7.
  • Samsung Galaxy S Samsung Fascinate (Rated 4) Verizon - user friendly and elegantly designed, with a solid camera.  Some reviewers didn't like that Bing is the default search engine.
