Droid Bionic Best Deal: Droid Bionic Released 9/8 $199 w/trade-in: How to Get - Will it Sell Out?

Droid BionicYesterday, we knew for sure that the Droid Bionic would be born soon, because Motorola was giving away Droid Bionic smartphones to Twitter followers. This morning, Motorola's news release confirmed many things that we knew from leaked reports about the Droid Bionic.

The Droid Bionic will go on sale tomorrow from Verizon Wireless for $299.99 and is packed with 4G LTE access, 4.3" LCD touchscreen, dual-core 1GHz processor, 16GB storage onboard and 16GB microSD installed. The price for the Droid Bionic with a contract is $299. It is touted to have, "unsurpassed power, speed and entertainments.

There are no presales and we don't yet if there will lines at Verizon stores or if it will sell-out.  Last year, when the Droid Incredible and Droid X were released there were shortages and backorders.

If you don't like getting up early and waiting in line, Verizon online ordering is your best bet. Besides insuring that you will get Droid Bionic, you will also get a $100 or more Verizon gift card to use towards your bill or to buy accessories when you trade-in your old phone.  The deal ends September 30 and works for buyers of any Verizon smartphone.

The way the the Verizon online exclusive smartphone deal works is that new customers will get a least $100 for any phone or smartphone trade-in based on the value of the phone that is sent in.

Probably the best feature of the Droid Bionic will be download speeds of 5 to 12 Mbps and upload speeds of 2 to 5 Mbps in 4G LTE mobile broadband coverage areas.  ZumoCast media app lets users share media with their computers. You can also connect the Droid Bionic to a Lapdock to using the Webtop app and use like a laptop. The the HD Station let you connect to media or can connect to an HD TV via an HDMI cable. You can also use the Droid Bionic as mobile hotspot

Verizon upgraders are eligible to receive a Verizon Wireless gift card worth $100 only when trading in a basic phone only, not a smartphone, an online sales rep confirmed.  Still , a$1oo gift card can pay a bill or buy many accessories.


Customers will need to subscribe to a Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan beginning at $39.99 for 450 minutes per month and a smartphone data package starting at $30 monthly access for 2 GB of data.

Verizon Wireless Mobile Hotspot data plans are available beginning at $30 for 2 GB.

For a limited time, customers who purchase a Lapdock with the Droid Bionic can receive a $100 mail-in rebate when subscribing to a $50, 5 GB data plan or higher. Another Verizon deal is if you buy three accessories you get 25% off all three.
