HTC is throwing a press event on September 20 in New York City. Many are speculating what HTC smartphones will be launched at the event.
Some think that the HTC Vigor which just passed the FCC will be launched. Others conclue that since the day is near Fashion Week, the female-foucsed HTC Bliss will be introduced.
All that is revealed is a request to "come celebrate in style with HTC." Whereas people celebrate the holidays in-style the HTC Holiday could be un-packed in time for the Holidays. Or perhaps, HTC plans to amaze everyone and announce the HTC Amaze.
All of the aorementioned names have been rumored for the sometime. Here's rundown with links to more information about the smarpthones that could be celebrated:
- The HTC Vigor is expected to come with 4G LTE access from Verizon Wireless and be the successor to the HTC ThunderBolt with more power and battery life.
- The HTC Bliss is a female-focused smartphone with pretty lighting LED charms that indicate messages and callers. It will most likely come in pink, too.
- The HTC Holiday is suspected to be the first LTE smartphone from AT&T with LTE speeds fastert than Verizon and 1.2GHz dual-core processor, HTC Sense 3.5, 4.5" touchscreen and the usual suspects.
- The HTC Amaze 4G was leaked to show a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, HTC Sense 3.5, 4.3" touchscreen and access to the T-Mobile network.
Not all HTC smartphones have been successful, the status of the Facebook-buttoned HTC Status is unclear and may be discontinued like the Microsoft KIN. The HTC Status looks like a BlackBerry with Android, geared towards the texting teen crowd. Reviewers noted tha the screen size was small while the keyboard is excellent. AT&T is selling it for $49.99 while some retail stores are selling it for free with contract. Amazon Wireless sells the HTC Status for one-cent for both new and renewing customers.
