While T-Mobile announced its first 1.5 GHz dual-core processor smartphones, today, Verizon Wireless customers may be wondering when they will be able to feel the power of 1.5 GHz. Currently the Droid Bionic at 1GHz is the fastest dual-core smartphone on the Verizon 4G LTE network but may be soon surpassed by the HTC Vigor which looks and acts a lot like the HTC Amaze.
The HTC Vigor has been shown in leaked photographs to have a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor running Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread and Verizon 4G LTE data access.
It also has a 4.3" HD touchscreen, 8MP camera, front-facing camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The HTC Vigor is also suspected to have Beats enhanced audio by Dr. Dre.
The HTC Vigor is the successor to the HTC ThunderBolt and it has also been rumored to be named the HTC Rezound or Incredible HD. Whatever it's called it will be vigorous, resounding and incredible for a while.
Previously a leaked RadioShack screenshot showed an October 20 release date for the HTC Vigor the same date as the Samsung Illusion.
