When it comes to FCC filings by HTC, we've noticed that it usually takes a month to two months after an FCC filing before an HTC smartphone comes out in the United States. Those who want and HTC Holiday in time for the holidays should be very happy. HTC filed test results with the FCC for the HTC Holiday.
A smartphone with all the specs that would make for the HTC Holiday showed up at the FCC as PH39100 with 1700/2100/700 LTE radio bands along with bands that support the T-Mobile GSM and EDGE network. The new LTE network coming from AT&T is only deployed in few major cities. Th PH39100 support GSM 800, 1900 as well as EDGE data.
Specs of the HTC Holiday include 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4.5", 1GB RAM, 8MP camera, HTC Sense, Bluetooth and GPS. It looks like the brother to the HTC Vigor and cousin of the HTC Amaze. Some think it will be renamed the HTC Raider 4G. GSM Arena also calls it the HTC Rider.
HTC often changes names of smartphones before they are released, the HTC Rhyme was once called the HTC Bliss and the HTC Status was formerly the HTC ChaCha. It makes sense the HTC Sense has always remained the same name but with numbers after it. There is contention that the next HTC smartphone on the Verizon network will be named the HTC Vigor or HTC Rezound. The names change but since the production cycle is many months long the hardware changes little
