Along with the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket, AT&T also announced the HTC Vivid 4G LTE smartphone for its 4G LTE network with a November 6 release date.
The HTC Vivid has a dual core 1.2 GHz processor, 4.5" qHD touchscreen, enhanced 8-MP camera and 16 GB of on-board memory, microSD expandable to 32 GB. Features are very similar to the HTC Amaze except it will access AT&T's 4G LTE network.
The Vivid camera has a 28mm, f/2.2 lens and 1080p HD (1920 x 1080 pixel) video recording along with video editor and slow motion playback. According AT&T photos, it will come in white and black.
The HTC Vivid also has HTC Sense with a customizable lockscreen, news/weather/updates widget, animations and social media integration.
The HTC Vivid will arrive in AT&T stores and online Nov. 6 for $199.99 with a two-year contract.
HTC, has become the top smartphone maker in the United States beating out Samsung and Apple's iPhone. Verizon's HTC Rezound is the next HTC smartphone coming from Verizon Wireless.
AT&T offfers LTE in limited markets with LTE service in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio. AT&T 4G LTE service will launch Nov. 6 in Boston, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and Athens, Ga. AT&T plans to reach 15 markets and 70 million Americans by the end of this year.
