Although there has been no official announcement as to when the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be released, the promotion machine is starting on the Google Nexus Twitter feed which is giving clues to how to win a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and perhaps when it will be released...
For the Galaxy Nexus Challenge eligibility you must follow @googlenexus, on Twitter. The challenge started, yesterday, November 12 and ends November 21. There are puzzle challenges and tasty treat challenges. For challenge number 2 "Make something geeky & edible,' we think someone will definitely make something out of an ice cream sandwich.
There may be another clue in this tasty challenge. Okay let's look at the last "Google Nexus Challenge 2" contest on Twitter, the contest started on April 28 and ended May 8 with winners notified May 11. When was the Google Nexus S released on Sprint? The Google Nexus S was released from Sprint on ta-dah May 8!
The first Google Nexus S contest on Twitter ran from December 7-16 and the Nexus S was available for purchase on December 16 - same date as the contest ended, again.
The current contests are posted at different times during the day to accomodate Nexus fans all over the world. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. (PT) on November 21, 2011. So---the Google Samsung Galaxy Nexus may be released on November 21 if Google follows the same timeline as it did before with its Twitter contests.
Other clues that Samsung Galaxy Nexus are coming soon are a replacement back cover is available from Samsung, demonstrations at Samsung events all over the world (face to face with only a few problems), a Samsung Galaxy Nexus demo on Fox Business News, Samsung Galaxy Nexus casess in Verizon stores and Black Friday is approaching. November 21 is the Monday before Black Friday.
The good news is that Verizon Wireless doubled the amount of 4G LTE data for the price through the holidays.
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone(see features). Verizon confirmed that it would selling the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in October but has not announced a release date.
