Another day, another batch of release date rumors and speculations for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus from Verizon Wireless. Today, there is more evidence of an approaching release date.
Update 12/14/2011 - Verizon Wireless News Tweeted Tomorrow's the day. "#GalaxyNexus from Verizon Wireless" It's slow so here's a copy of the Tweet. We have confirmed the price of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus from Verizon spokeswoman Brenda Raney which will be $299 with a contract and it will go on sale from Verizon Wireless online at 1:00AM EST.
There are several sources showing Costco coupons and screenshots. A Costco internal screenshot shows "Samsung Galaxy Nexus launches as soon as Thursday, 12/15. A coupon flyer page shows effective dates for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus to be 12/15/11-12/20/11 with a discounted price of $289.99 with a contract.
To throw in some doubt, Costco leaks have been incorrect previously. However, this news has Galaxy Nexus fans thinking that we should be getting an announcement from Verizon Wireless soon.
Last week, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus was apparently delayed due to network problems.
December 15 is also the date when Verizon launches in many new cities, this could or could not be an advantage.
This year, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, has gotten almost as much buzz and the iPhone because it is cutting edge technology, the latest version of Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and uses the super fast Verizon 4G LTE network.
The Verizon Galaxy Nexus will not have Google Wallet on it.
Features of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus include 4.65" HD(1280 x 720) Super AMOLED touchscreen a 1.2 GHz dual-core TI OMAP4460 processor 5MP camera, 1.2MP front-facing camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 1750mAh battery. There is no microSD card slot for adding storage.
There are many firsts for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus:

- First Verizon smartphone with Android Beam to beam information to other smartphones.
Texas Instruments claims that its dual-core processors have the ability to provide hardware-integrated security, distinctive and advanced imaging features, enhanced memory and more, all on a smart multicore architecture.
A "pure Google" smartphone the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be primed for new updates of Android faster.

I just picked mine up. There were 7 people in front of me waiting for the phone, and 10 behind me by the time I left.
Just getting used to it so far. Did a speed test. 22 Mb / second. That's higher than the 5 Mb I saw in the store. My old droid was 600K, so it's at least 8 times as fast.
