Droid RAZR MAXX On Sale 2night B4 Droid 4 with Maxed Out Battery >Galaxy NexusThe Droid with the longest battery life, the Droid RAZR MAXX  is landing at  Verizon Wireless  tonight for $299 with a contract.  The Droid RAZR MAXX is a Droid RAZR with higher capacity battery. Motorola claims it is the longest battery life smartphone.

All the latest Droids from Motorola: the Droid RAZR, Droid 4 and Droid RAZR MAXX  have batteries that can not be removed. Therefore, if you love to use your smartphone for long periods of time, the Droid RAZR MAXX could be the right smartphone choice for you.  4G LTE network use drains battery power quickly, in fact many Galaxy Nexus owners have resorted to tricks to reduce battery drain and even shut off the 4G LTE access when not using it.  Samsung Galaxy Nexus owners have also found that using an extended life battery not from Verizon Wireless can cause problems.

The DROID RAZR MAXX 's battery allows for phone calls for over 21 hours straight on a single charge. Motorola claims that the on a single charge, DROID RAZR MAXX by Motorola lasts more than twice as long as the leading competitor with a 3300mAh battery. It is pretty much the same as the DROID RAZR except for the larger battery, which makes it a tad thicker.

Features of the  DROID RAZR MAXX include a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced display and with Dupont KEVLAR  fiber, a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass display and a force field of water-repellent nanoparticles. Specs include a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 8MP camera, 1.2MP front-facing camera, GPS,  Motocast and Smart Actions.

This Droid works with the Lapdock 100, Lapdock 500 Pro, HD Station, HD Dock, Vehicle Navigation Dock, Smart Controller, Wireless Keyboard with Trackpad, Webtop Travel Adaptor, VGA Adaptor, HDMI Cable

The DROID RAZR MAXX  comes with 32 GB of total memory (16MB on board along with 16GB microSD card), connects to the he Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network and runs Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread that be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The Droid RAZR appears in many top ten best smartphones of 2011 lists, including the top ten of all and Verizon Wireless list. Reviewers of the Droid RAZR gave it Editors' Choice and rated it high for being the fastest and thinnest for now.

Meanwhile, the price of the QWERTY  Droid 3 from Verizon Wireless  has dropped to $49.99 (with contract) until February 6, suggesting that the Droid 4 is coming very soon.

The Droid 4  is essentially a Droid RAZR with a QWERTY keyboard.  Heavy texters and email users may want the Droid 4 which comes with 16GB of storage onboard with an empty microSD card slot like the purple Droid RAZR. The Droid 4, however, only comes in basic black.

We can't tell yet if the DROID RAZR MAXX will sell-out like other first day of sales, if you really want one, many times you can get it more easily it you check in Verizon Wireless online after midnight.  Be sure to refresh your browser if you have visited the site previously. We've got a call out to Verizon to see what time it will go on sale.  West coast night owls have an advantage.
