The LG Spectrum was released on Thursday and offers a lot HD with great viewing in sunlight. The LG produced video we reviewed earlier, shows the LG Spectrum, as a phone that loves you back.
In the new Verizon commercial, R2-D2 is called the R2 unit and is seen hanging out in a Verizon store squealing about the LG Spectrum. Maybe you can see him on Netflix films on the phone and also stream RD-D2 from a the Spectrum by LG via Wi-Fi connect to an HD TV.
The official LG Girl video shows off the LG Spectrum and calls the display amazingly beautiful. On top of the fantastic display and killer processor it's also super slim and really light, she notes. LG Girl reminds viewers that anyone with an LG Android smartphone can now get 50GB of FREE lifetime cloud file sharing and storage from Box. All you have to do is download the Box app from the Android Market, register before March 31st 2012.
The Verizon overview video, shows specs and a geeky-eyeglassed guy using Wi-Fi direct. It also highlights sports, movies, video and the 4G LTE network. The camera with video editing is highlighted. The video ends with the tagline, "Spectrum by LG unprecedented."
The marketing of the LG Spectrum has different slants, a Verizon slick Star Wars device, the geeks friend, LG Girl's fave and as a member of a little girl's loving family. This is completely different from the high tech black fast Droid ads.
With the Google Galaxy Nexus already gaining momentum as the first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone it will be interesting to see how the LG Spectrum fairs. We will be publishing a review in the near future. Readers are welcome to comment with your view and which marketing works for you.
Specs of the LG Spectrum include a Qualcomm 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, Gorilla Glass, 4.5" HD 329ppi touchscreen, Android 2.3 Gingerbread (Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade available the first half of 2012), preloaded Netflix, Dolby Digital Plus, Bluetooth, DLNA and HDMI via MHL. The 8-megapixel rear-facing autofocus camera with LED flash offers 1080p video capture.
Wirefly has reduced the price of the LG Spectrum by a good deal and worth checking out for both new and renewing customers. Priced at $199.99 from Verizon Wireless it has many of the features of the best Verizon Wireless smartphone of 2011 the Droid RAZR and well-reviewed Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
