Nokia Lumia 710 Windows Phone, Gives Meaning to Life? Cheap Price for Smartphone Newbies?

Nokia LumiaHere we go with the sentient smartphone claims. The original Galaxy Nexus had sentience and according to latest commercial, the Nokia Lumia 710 a smarter smartphone, a Windows Phone knows the meaning of life. And have the meaning life for just $49.99.

The latest Nokia Lumia 710 commercial asks How smart can a smartphone be? Well, this one knows the meaning of life. What's the meaning of life, you? Keep your friends close. And the way to discover the best balsamic strawberry ice cream, even closer. Which makes for an amazing every day.

Philosophers and poets will look at the commercial and laugh. Would a true friend only stay with you unless you offered only the best balsamic strawberry ice cream? Can a smartphone really know the meaning life, when most people including Woody Allen don't have a clue?

Of course, we can't answer those questions at Wireless and Mobile News, but what we can do is tell you about the Nokia Lumia 710 and you can as a smart person, smarter than the average smartphone can make your own decision.

The marketing according to the news release stated "Targeted at the nearly 150 million Americans who haven’t purchased their first smartphones, the Nokia Lumia 710, capable of running on T-Mobile’s 4G network, delivers high-performance hardware, Nokia’s best social and Internet experience, and access to popular smartphone applications and services from Windows Phone Marketplace."

”The Nokia Lumia 710 is the perfect first-time smartphone: a well-designed product that delivers the most compelling Windows Phone experience in its price range and with access to great content and thousands of applications,” said Chris Weber, president, Nokia Americas.

Available in a black or white finish, the Nokia Lumia 710 has a 3.7" touchscreen, 1.4 GHz Snapdragon, 5Mp camera with Nokia’s leading camera technology, enabling people to take pictures in almost any light condition and share on social networks in seconds.

Our spin on the Nokia Lumia 710 is that you get most of the features of the early smartphones of last year, like the Nexus S  at a lower price. Windows Phones are being demonstrated to be easier and faster to use at Windows Phone smoke-outs at CES. Although slightly smaller than most of the lastest superphones, the Nokia Lumia 710 will work just fine for many.

Do most people need the fastest and best smartphones or computers? That question could be as hard to answer as the "What is the meaning of life?" However, we suggest that smartphone buyers look at your needs first, then read reviews, take the smartphone for a test drive and see if you like it.

Another analogy would be, do all smartphone buyers need a Ferrari or Toyota Corolla? Some only need a Corolla. If you would like more of a Mustang or GTO, T-Mobile recently announced the Samsung Galaxy S 4G Blaze with state-of-the-art features will be coming out soon.  The Samsung Galaxy S II on the T-Mobile network was named the top best smartphone of 2011 by Wireless and Mobile News Review of Reviews and is their best seller.

The T-Mobile news released concludes "With the most integrated work-life solution of any mobile platform via the Windows Phone Office Hub and an interactive mobile gaming experience via Xbox LIVE, the Nokia Lumia 710 is the complete all-round first-time smartphone experience."
