The T-Mobile spokesmodel is looking really pretty in pink. She didn't get bought by AT&T therefore she's got $4 billion in spectrum and cash to burn. Meanwhile, AT&T CEO Stephenson' annual pay was cut by $2and he only made $18.7 million.
T-Mobile will spend $4 billion on network improvements including more cell sites and is launching LTE in 2013. T-Mobile will spend $200 million in advertising, also.
T-Mobile is expected to launch LTE service in its top 50 market sand 20MHz service its top 25 markets.
90 percent of T-Mobile device sales in Q4 were 3G and 4G smartphones. Therefore T-Mobile can reduce the amount of 1900 MHz PCS spectrum being used for GSM and then deploy HSPA+ 4G services in the band. This will make room in AWS bandwidth for LTE.

It seems that most consumers now want a fully operative hand-held computer with a telephone as a secondary, and often inferior device. ATT has probably the worst telephone/data service in the modern world.
If ATT will not improve their infrastructure to include most of the U.S. in their plans, what does anyone think they would they have done if they'd got T-Mobile. I think they would have altogether ignored the areas that they refuse to serve.
