AT&T announced that the Nokia Lumia 900. will go on sale April 8 for $99.99 with a contract. This super Windows Phone will be backed by a huge marketing campaign. The Nokia Lumia 900. is the first 4G LTE Windows phone. Preorders start March 30 online from AT&T.
It has been reported that Microsoft, Nokia and AT&T are planning to spend $100 million marketing the Nokia Lumia 900.
There will be a huge television ad campaign as well as in-store promotions with AT&T reps carrying a Nokia Lumia 900 with them at all times. It will also come with free accessories. The price itself packs a lot of power against other competing LTE smarpthones.
Features of the Nokia Lumia 900 inlcude a 4.3" AMOLED touchscreen, long-lasting 1830 mAH battery. Wi-Fi, 16GB of storage, and 8MP camera. The primary camera includes Nokia's exclusive Carl Zeiss optics, with large aperture (F2.2) and wide angle focal length (28mm) for high-quality, uncropped images even in low-light conditions.
The Nokia Lumia 900 has a front-facing camera with a large aperture and a wide angle lens that ensures sharp, bright images for high-quality video calling, right out of the box.
The Nokia Lumia 900 won the best of CES award from CNET because it is a great device with hardware/software integration. He called it clean/thin with a sharp Super AMOLED touchscreen.
Windows Phones have been shown to be faster than other smartphones in a recent smoke out at Microsoft stores this week. Windows Phones smoked-out iPhones and Android smartphones as well as a BlackBerry owner surrendering before even trying at CES.
